Isn’t our greatest fear, the fear of the unknown; the fear of not being able to control the future or even the present? We are constantly afraid of losing our lives or valuable possessions. What truly should concern us rather should be our ability to live fully the life we are given.
Whether it is providing succour for the disadvantaged or guiding little children towards a greater purpose. Our concern should be our contribution to life not our inability to control the tides.
Our confidence should come from the indisputable truth that the stories of our lives, as well as the histories of this world we live in, have all been written by the same hand. For it is written; our days may come to three score years and ten, and if our strength endures, fourscore years. For it is written; that your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house, and thy children like olive trees roundabout thy table. For it is written; you shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water.
The hand that wrote the stars into being and the overthrow of powers, kingdoms and fortresses, is the same hand that has written your precious life; your sorrows, your struggles, your victories and your conquests. He stands outside of time and beholds the past, present and future in one glimpse. He is called the Ancient of Days.
You have no business worrying about what you can’t control. And the things that you may control are nothing more but your choices. The decision you make now determines your actions and reactions. So choose well, choose rightly. Choose justly. Choose wisely. In making choice decisions we create our present and shape the future. So fear not. Only be wise!
