THE WILL AND THE CODICIL OF GOD 2
- I am thankful to God that I am not part of those who came out from Egypt, though there is still bondage in this world. There are many houses of bondage, including churches.
- If you depart from the way of understanding, you will abide in the congregation of the dead that is severe bondage (Proverbs 21:16).
- Some churches have become slave camps, where people go to work, labour, earn a lot and come to drop the money at the foot of the pastor in charge to live larger than life at their expense.
- A church can also be a prison where rules and regulations outweigh love, and you cannot do anything without the pastor’s consent. People in
such churches are over – shepherded to the extent that they must consult the pastor before taking any action in their lives. They are not free in God to do whatever they want according to Galatians 5:1. The problem lies in the inaccurate teaching of the word of God. - You can be called into liberty, and ignorance can chain you down in a slave camp or a prison house.
- God will not only give you seed to sow but also multiply the seed sown and increase the fruit of your righteousness. Then, He will grant you the grace to have all sufficiency in all things for every good work so that giving will not grieve you (2 Corinthians 9:8,10, 2 Timothy 3:17).
- If giving causes you grief and you provide, but there is no return, then there is a foundational problem.
- One can grow a mango forest from a single mango seed. In the same manner, we have one powerful Israel today that came from one seed and is blessing the whole world (Matthew 1:2- 17, Genesis 1:27; 26).
- When you read in your Bible about the time to sow, God is not talking about sowing a seed of money because the word of God is the foundational seed of all seeds that created everything on the planet was created by the word of God (Isaiah 55:8-13, Genesis 1-2, Psalm 138:2, 2 Corinthians 9:6-11).
- David is a perfect example of one whose soul delights in abundance, even when he had no money. However, he dedicated the resources he obtained from his conquests to the construction of the house of God (Isaiah 55:1-4, 2, Samuel 7-8). He is a prototype of a kingdom-minded
individual who will rule and reign in the midst of his enemies. - You cannot prosper independent of the word of God. Isaac took the word God spoke to him and sowed it into his heart he dwelt in Gerar in obedience to the word of the Lord (2 Corinthians 9:6-14, Isaiah 55:8-13, Genesis 26:12-14, 1-34, Job 36:11).
- When it comes to giving, the first thing you should do is obey the word of God that has been spoken to you (Mark 4:1-20).
- When someone tells you to sow a special seed, look for the Word. If the word spoken is inaccurate, if the Spirit of God is not leading you, and if grace is not supplied, do not participate.
