RUTH — A DREAM FULFILLED – 2
-
God expects us to be deliberate about showing love—by praying for souls, sharing the gospel, and bringing others into salvation (Romans 5:8).
-
The Promised Land can become a land of famine as a result of sin because sin brings shortage and disobedience brings regression (Deuteronomy 6:10–15; 8:7–9, Ruth 1:1, Judges 2:16–19, Leviticus 26:14–22).
-
In the Year of Fulfilled Dreams, some are about to enter the land of blessing; some are already in their blessed land; and some were once there who lost it but are now in a season of restoration (Lamentations 5:21). Whatever category you are, thank God for where you are, and pray for wisdom and grace not to lose the inheritance.
-
When wealth and possessions increase, beware of pride —remember it is the Lord who gives you power to prosper and establish His covenant (Deuteronomy 8:10–20).
-
Grace may grant you wells you didn’t dig and vineyards you didn’t plant, but you must still labour wisely to multiply them.
-
The Promised Land is not good in itself—it is God’s presence that makes it fruitful (Deuteronomy 11:10–19). Joseph prospered in Egypt and Daniel thrived in Babylon because God was with them (Genesis 39:2, Daniel 1:9, 17). Every teenager has no excuse—the presence of God distinguishes them at any age.
-
Lying, anger, bitterness, malice, and unforgiveness can grieve the Holy Spirit. Therefore, avoid those things (Ephesians 4:25–32). If a conversation is not centred on love, shut it down (Psalm 50:5–23).
-
Keep short accounts with God. Adam, instead of confessing quickly, shifted the blame. When you sense His absence, don’t be arrogant — repent and be restored.
