- Noah was a worshipper who gave his firstfruits to God. He was also a preacher of righteousness who fulfilled the prophetic significance of his name. He demonstrated this by offering the firstfruits of clean animals and birds as burnt offerings to God. And God smelled the soothing aroma of his offering (Genesis 5:20–29; 8:20–22).
- By serving God wholeheartedly, generational curses can be broken, and a new standard can be established for generations to come. You can raise a new standard and become a man or woman whose life honours God
and leaves a godly legacy for those who follow. - Father Abraham gave a tenth of the spoils of war to Melchizedek, and God blessed him in all things (Genesis 24:1–4, 32–36, Hebrews 7:1–7). In Deuteronomy 26, the tithe and the firstfruits are likewise presented within the same bracket of honouring God with the produce and increase He has given us.
