Kingdom Dynamics: The Parables of the Sowers
- There are three parables of Jesus with sower as a central figure: the parable of the sower; the parable of the wheat and tares; and the parable of the growing seed. Although they carry distinct messages, they form a connected continuum that together reveal kingdom dynamics at work in the world.
- In the parable of the wheat and tares, five key personalities are unveiled: the sower identified as the Son of Man, the enemy identified as the devil, the good seeds identified as the sons of the Kingdom, the tares identified as the sons of the wicked, and the reapers identified as the angels. The field is the world (Matthew 13:24-30, 36-43).
- Everything God does is right, and the trademark on all His works is love (Psalms 145:17). A good God will not sow a bad seed. If it not good, it is not God. The seed the sower planted was good because it carried His nature and His stamp of authenticity.
