THE NEW TESTAMENT WAY OF HONOURING GOD WITH OUR GIVING
- Those who are wise in this end-time will shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who turn many to righteousness like the stars
forever (Daniel 12:3). - King Solomon categorised a man who wins souls as wise and established the connection between the resources spent on winning souls with the tree of life.
- If you do not invest heavily in soul-winning, you are still feeding on the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. But if your major investment
is on soul-winning, you are feeding fat on the tree of life (Proverbs 11:30). - The fruit of the righteous is the material resource of a believer, and if you deploy your resources towards soul winning, the on-time anointing is already yours — the anointing that gets things done on time. This is not to suggest that the on-time anointing is for sale (Romans 1:8-15).
- According to Romans 1:11, “some spiritual gift” does not mean fruit of the Spirit; instead, it means material resources (Romans 15:22-29).
- Prophet Isaiah saw a day in the future when a king will reign in righteousness and be surrounded by princes who will rule with justice (Isaiah 32:1).
- When the princes who rule with justice take their strategic places on the mountains of culture, they will provide succour for the vulnerable and the underprivileged (Isaiah 32:2-4).
- In that day, there will be a sharp difference between the stingy/the miser and the liberal/generous (Isaiah 32:5-8).
