In the Latter Rain Assembly, we learn from scripture God’s plan for the church to have functional groups so that everyone is fully equipped to serve one another and grow in grace. We believe in harnessing God’s special deposit in your life through our diverse ministry groups.
Our ministry groups will set you on a ‘path finding’ journey where you will not only discover God’s special deposits in you, but also are able to explore ways to put that gift to use through service, providing solutions and ministering comfort and joy to God’s people. That way you too can be like that good and faithful servant who has multiplied his talent(s) to the glory of God the Father.
The Multimedia department is the support team of CGCC set up as ‘‘the eye, the ear and voice’’ of the Church to capture and amplify the messages/activities of the church within the local assembly and around the globe. We are tasked with creating excellent, distraction-free experiences that enhance encounters with God for all members and first time visitors alike during our services. Ultimately a portion of these experiences are edited and aired for the viewing pleasure of our Moment of Truth (MOT) viewership, and online via our social media platforms.
Further to that we strive to create an online presence that is unique to CGCC – a Christian community demonstrating kingdom lifestyle & values; one that engages both young, with universal content that is enlightening, interesting, inspiring, and Godly. Here, depending on your skill set, you can easily fit into any of these sub groups e.g. cinematography, sound engineering, photography, motion animation, copy-writing, editing etc.
The engineering department is made up of seasoned professionals who provide technical support in the management and maintenance of the church facility. They ensure seamless, uninterrupted operations of equipment during church programmes as well as oversee church building projects from time to time.
At the Latter Rain Assembly, operational excellence is not only a watchword for the ‘whats’ but also the ‘hows’. Our newly formed Guest relations department is an amalgamation of the previous Protocol, Greeters & Guides, Hospitality departments’ coupled with the Armour Bearers who have now been co-opted into the fora for purposes of accountability and synergy. The role of this department is to ensure our guests (first timers, ministers) and visitors are warmly received, guided, informed and generally made to feel at home.
The Queen of Sheba visited Solomon and was amazed at the sitting arrangement of his officers, the level of service and presentation of food by his waiters (2Chro 9:3-4); that is the standard of quality service each of our guests should experience at the CGCC- ‘the community that feels like home’.
The church’s Beautification Department adds the glitz and the glamour to our worship arena, using colors and soft elements to demonstrate skillful works of craftsmanship endowed them by God to create exquisiteness, elegance and splendor within the worship auditorium.
Our legal department is our citadel of ‘learned gentlemen’ who provide general-in-house Counsel and is responsible for advice to all our members and partners. Each member of the Department is happy to take an initial enquiry whatever the detailed subject matter. Arrangements can then be made for the appropriate person to deal with it.
Our church Security Department perform the noble duty of checking excesses within the church environment such as solving domestic disputes, attending to medical emergencies, warding off protesters, and ensuring general safety for all members, and visitors alike as well as ensuring safety of their belongings. They work in collaboration with third party security agencies to ensure peace and order during services and assisting in driving social responsibility within our immediate community and environment.
Apostolic Training School (ATS) Instructors are the training arm of the ministry. The ATS is a multi-level discipleship and mentorship programme serving as the ‘Quarry’ for teaching and equipping believers to explore and deploy their gifts, talents and grace for Kingdom service in different ministries and units within the local assembly and beyond.
The treasury Department of The Latter Rain Assembly is the arm of the ministry charged with the responsibility of receiving and recording of all the Church’s different classes of offerings. We act as holy vessels through which the people’s ‘giving’ would be conveyed into the Lord’s enlarged treasury (1Kings 8: 64).
We also imbibe the corporate ‘giving’ culture by presenting the people’s ‘seed’ to God acceptably with reverence and Godly fear (Exodus 36:3, Hebrew 12:28, Philippians 4:18). The people give (plant), we present (water), God blesses and multiplies (gives the increase) in the peoples’ hands (Luke 9:16-17, 1Corinthians 3:6).
We believe in worship that stirs the heart and delights the soul, wholesome worship that endears men to God and strengthens them to live for Christ in these days. The New dawn choir will also serve as a voice to the ‘world’ by ministering through concerts aimed at making ready a people prepared for the Lord.
The Prison Ministry is an outreach arm of the church with the role to export the vision of the ‘house’ by ministering to the spiritual and physical needs of prisoners, ex-prisoners and their families with the goal to win them and keep them for Christ through effective discipleship in God’s word.
Their activities include but are not limited to:
- Raising an arm of evangelists with a calling to reach out to the incarcerated.
- Encourage team members to work towards achieving the set goal.
The emphasis of this ministry is re-enacting the undiluted word of God and the current teachings in the church into drama and motion picture.
Goals of the unit:
- Communicate a clear message through well-coordinated drama presentations.
- Execute all presentations with the aid of talented men and women
- Utilize easy to remember and relevant story lines.
