THE RISING OF THE STARS-1

God steps in when we have come to the end of ourselves. It does not take Christ even a moment to turn any situation around (2 Kings 3:1-20). There is no such situation as impossible with God, and there is no such thing as time-limiting with God (Luke 1:37, Jeremiah 32:17).

In Romans 8:19-21, the Bible speaks of the earnest expectation of the creation waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God. I believe creation would no longer be waiting if the heroes of faith recorded in Hebrews 11:1-40 were alive today and shone in our time as they did in theirs. This suggests that something is a miss in our generation — something hindering the true manifestation of the sons of God.

As stars, are we shining at full capacity? As salt, are we seasoning at full strength? Are we a true force in our communities and spheres of influence? Do our communities feel our absence when we are not there, or are they unaware that we even exist? What has the enemy done to keep us from shining at our full brightness? And how have we, perhaps unknowingly, cooperated with him to dull our glow and dim our light? (Matthew 5:13-16).
