Some Critical Truths About God-Given Dreams
- God administered His creation with a clear, definite, intentional plan and purpose (Acts 17:24-31, Ephesians 1:11).
- When the Bible says God is the God who hides Himself, God does not hide so that we will not find Him; rather, He hides so that we can seek Him (Acts 17:27-28).
- God’s plan is immutable, and His counsel is sacrosanct; it is not a piece of advice we can choose to accept or reject. His counsel cannot be muted by the schemes of men (Hebrews 6:16, Proverbs 19:21, Acts 4:27-28, Psalm 33:10-11, Isaiah 46:9-10).
- God communicates His plan to men through the language of the Holy Spirit (dreams, visions, and prophecies – Acts 2:17, Joel 2:28-32, Numbers 12:5-6). He does not always keep His plan to Himself (Amos 3:7, Numbers 11:25-29).
- When the love of God is upon you, protocols will be broken for you no matter where you are (Numbers 11:25-29, 1 Corinthians 14:1).
- If you have the Spirit of God upon you , you already have a prophetic dimension in your life. The Holy Spirit Himself is the Spirit of counsel. If God’s counsel is not revealed, there cannot be
mighty works. But when it is revealed and we go with that understanding, we can do mighty works (Isaiah 11:1-2, Genesis 18:1 7-1 9 , Exodus 26:30, Ephesians 6:10, Zechariah 4:5-6). God is only committed to fulfilling His dreams which He has inscribed on our hearts. He is not committed to dreams and desires that we generate. - When your dream is Godgiven,your waiting time is not a waste of time because God is committed to it (Jeremiah 29:11, Micah 4:11-12, Psalm 62:5, Isaiah 44:24-26, Psalm 16:7, 1 Chronicles 28:11-12, 19).
- If your dream does not come from God, your expectation cannot come from Him.
